DiGi has revised its tablet data plans, with the lowest coming in at RM15/month for 500MB of data for existing DiGi Postpaid plan subscribers, it is one of the most affordable plans right now. The new rates are dependent on the type of subscriber, with existing DiGi customers enjoying RM10 off the plans compared to non-existing customers who get it at RM25/month.

If you own a mobile broadband dongle/MiFi, in theory you can probably stick the SIM card in there and enjoy broadband on your other devices.

In terms of speed, the FAQ states that the tablet plans can reach up to 3Mbps, however breaching your data quota limit will result in a throttling of your speed to a measly 64Kbps. Existing customers are allowed to subscribe to 2 Tablet SuperSIM plans per principal line. If you sign up for auto-billing, there’s an additional RM5/month rebate for 6 months but this is only applicable for supplementary users that are billed separately from principal line.
We don’t like the RM50 advanced payment even if it is rebated over the course of the next 5 months, but most should be fine with it as it doesn’t add to the cost of ownership.
