FireFly have also joined in the 1Malaysia Student Discount Card (KADS1M) Program to offer discounts on domestic flight tickets to students of public and private education institutions (IHL).

FireFly offers a higher discount compared as MAS and MASwings, with a headline-grabbing 50% discount on economy class tickets for Domestic flight (it might not be the cheapest though, even with the discounts), free food and beverages during the flight and free 20kg luggage, with the promotion valid until 6th August 2013.

As with the MAS and MASWings KADS1M offer, in this digital agewe think the policy of having to purchase at ticket offices for the purposes of presenting the card (rather than online) is a little silly though, given that most flight tickets are bought online these days. Still if the discount is worth the trip then why not?

Some other TnCs: Name of passenger appearing on the travel itinerary shall be that of the holder of KADS1M only, booking shall be made at least 2 hours prior to departure, seats are subject to allocated seats availability, full payment shall be paid at time of booking by cash or credit card only.

Students should still compare prices with other airlines not within the program (MAS is also offering discounts under KADS1M) like AirAsia which usually comes out cheapest in the flight ticket stakes.
